Interview with Aparna Gupta | Educator | Talent Consultant | Founder at AniShine Talent Partners

Aparna Gupta

At BrilliantRead Media, we always strive to bring meaningful and powerful stories from India and around the world to empower and motivate our growing community. As part of this endeavour, we invited Aparna Gupta for an exclusive interview with us. Aparna is an Educator, Talent Consultant and Founder at AniShine Talent Partners. Let’s learn more about her background, journey and her advice for our community!

Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Aparna:

Could you please talk us through your background and journey?

I come from a strong academic and disciplined professional background. I completed my MBA in Entrepreneurship & Leadership from Amity University in 2009, graduating as a Silver Medalist.

Later, qualifying for UGC-NET in Management in 2013 further strengthened my academic foundation and deepened my inclination toward education and development.

My early career as a Court Manager at the High Court of Uttarakhand was a defining chapter. It exposed me to structured systems, governance, accountability, and the critical role of process excellence. That experience shaped my understanding of institutions, leadership, and organisational effectiveness.

Over time, however, I recognised that my natural strengths lay elsewhere — in working closely with people, understanding aspirations, mentoring individuals, and guiding careers.

This realization led to the creation of AniShine Talent Partners — a venture committed to bridging the gap between education and employability. Today, my work spans academic enrichment, mentoring, recruitment consulting, and career counselling — alongside balancing motherhood, fitness, and family life. It has truly been a journey of resilience, reinvention, and purpose.

How did you discover your passion?

My passion evolved gradually rather than emerging from a single moment.

During my time in judicial administration, I realised that while systems and processes are important, people remain at the heart of every institution. Yet people can only thrive when they receive the right guidance and support.

I found myself naturally mentoring colleagues, counseling students, and engaging with young individuals struggling with direction and confidence. Becoming a mother further deepened my interest in foundational learning and personal development.

The real turning point came when I witnessed how the right guidance could meaningfully alter someone’s trajectory. That was when I clearly understood — my passion lies in unlocking human potential.

Despite challenges, what keeps you going when things get tough?

Three anchors keep me grounded:

a) Purpose — I genuinely believe my work makes a difference.

b) Discipline — My fitness routine plays a vital role in maintaining mental strength.

c) Responsibility — As both a mother and a founder, persistence is non-negotiable.

Entrepreneurship is often romanticized, but the reality includes uncertainty, slow phases, rejection, and self-doubt. In such moments, I reconnect with my original intent — to create impact, not merely income.

Focusing on progress rather than perfection keeps me moving forward.

What are the three most important lessons you have learned in life?

Clarity is power — Understanding who you are and what you stand for simplifies decisions.

Consistency outweighs talent — Disciplined, repeated effort compounds over time.

Empathy builds influence — Deep listening is often more powerful than speaking.

In your opinion, what are the keys to success?

Success, in my view, is driven by:

> Self-awareness

> Continuous learning

> Strong work ethic

> Emotional resilience

> Meaningful relationships

Success is less about reaching a destination and more about aligning values, effort, and impact.

What lesson would you like to share with youth and students?

Don’t chase titles — build competence.

Invest in skills, read beyond formal syllabi, strengthen communication abilities, and remain physically active. Most importantly, resist the urge to compare your journey with others.

Failure is feedback, not identity.

What makes your journey exciting and satisfying?

The most fulfilling aspect of my work is witnessing transformation:

A student is gaining confidence.

A candidate securing an opportunity after a prolonged struggle.

A startup is finding the right talent.

Balancing entrepreneurship, mentoring, motherhood, fitness, and family makes the journey intense yet deeply rewarding.

I am not just building a company — I am building people. And that gives my work its true meaning.
